.PJB File Automation from the Command Line
Every Jetletter PSL Page Builder project folder contains a project .PJB file, managed by the workflow manager where you set the project's options. Once the options are set the way you like, double-click the .PJB file and PSL Page Builder runs exactly what you asked for.
Run projects from the command line
That also means you can run any project from the command line or from PowerShell. Set up as many option combinations as you like, and save each one as its own .PJB file.
This is our favorite option and the most flexible way to run jobs hands-free.
Trigger output from SQL
We've built SQL commands that run PowerShell in the file system to launch projects, with PSL Page Builder connected to SQL Server over ODBC. It works like this:
- SQL builds the record set for the job.
- A SQL Server Agent job calls a PowerShell script.
- The script runs the right .PJB file.
- PSL Page Builder reads the records over ODBC and writes the output.
Personalized VDP output on demand, hands-free, all run from SQL Agent. See SQL-to-press automation for how we build these workflows for mail shops.
